"Raising the Bar, Part V"

The two top executives at VMware (Paul Maritz, Steve Herrod) are planning a webcast on July 12, 2011 where they will unveil “the next major step…in Cloud infrastructure.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m guessing that this will be the vSphere 5 announcement that we’ve all been anticipating.

The Kansas City VMware Usergroup will hold its third-quarter meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at our regular location, the Muehlbach Suite of Boulevard Brewery. 3rd Annual Regional Meeting

The Kansas City VMware User Group is pleased to announce their 3rd Annual Regional Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, December 6th at the nationally-reknowned home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium.

We are also happy to announce that the day’s opening presentation will be a keynote from Chad Sakac (@sakacc) of EMC.

Additionally, you can expect breakout sessions from industry leaders in storage, networking, management, security, and of course, VMware itself. We’re also working on getting some hands-on-labs and an Ask the Experts panel session (or two) to round out the day.

Yes, it’s true: the VMware User Groups have a premium, paid membership program called “VMUG Advantage” with a number of outstanding benefits, while basic membership is free.
