The VMUG needs YOU!
Are you tired of going to meetings that seem more like just a vendor sales pitch rather than being a good technical presentation?
YOU CAN FIX THAT!
All it takes is some brave members who are willing to get up in front of his/her peers and present. If we could get more members that were willing to present at meetings, there would be less time consumed by the vendors. After all, it’s our meeting.
Any VMware-related topic is fair game:

Consider this: it doesn’t have to be hard or complicated. In fact, the simpler, the better. You don’t have to take up 60 minutes; even a short, 5-minute demo could be useful to another member of the group, making the trip to the meeting worthwhile.
The group leaders want to make your meetings a valuable use of your time; member presentations are a great way to make that happen.

Meeting, Membership in Blog Posts Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:04PM With all the chaos of going to Las Vegas for VMworld, your leaders at the KC VMUG did the unthinkable: we forgot to get the registration page opened for the next meeting!
That’s been corrected, and you can register now. We meet at Boulevard Brewing Company’s Muehlbach Suite, and we kick it all off at 1:30pm with “vBeers with vBen,” an open discussion session primarily aimed at new users, but everyone is invited.
The agenda includes a presentation from EMC’s backup team on leveraging “changed block tracking” to supercharge your VM backup scheme.
We’ll also have a rundown of VMware’s recent announcements, directions and a recap of other cool bits from VMworld 2011.

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:01AM Check your calendar; if you don’t have Tuesday, December 6 2011 reserved to come to the Midwest Regional VMUG Conference, hosted by the Kansas City VMware User Group at Arrowhead Stadium, now is a great time to do so!
Registration for the event is open, and we have a great slate of vendors and presenters on board to make a great day for the event.
Plan to stay the whole day! Don’t just come for an hour or two; don’t come for the morning and skip the afternoon! We have cool stuff in the works for the entire day; it will be worth your while to stick around…
