As with all things, the agenda is subject to change, but we feel pretty good about what we’ve got planned for this year.

As always, the event is free, and anyone in the virtualization community—or curious about it—is invited.

Happy Hour before Regional Event

4th Annual Regional Meeting

Apple co-Founder, Steve WozniakThe Kansas City VMware User Group (KC VMUG) is proud to announce the 4th Annual Regional Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, December 11th at the Overland Park Convention Center.

The leadership for the user group also has the pleasure of revealing that Fusion-io Chief Scientist, Steve Wozniak, will present the conference’s opening keynote address.

Wozniak—best known for co-founding Apple Computer Inc in 1976 with Steve Jobs and essentially creating the personal computer industry with his invention of the Apple II computer—will participate in a “Town Hall Chat” to open the conference.

The all-day conference is centered on virtualization technologies from VMware and its industry partners like platinum sponsors Symantec and Teradici. In addition to the opening keynote, sponsor exhibits and breakout sessions organized on multiple tracks are planned with both technical and business/executive attendees in mind.

While attendance to the conference is free—thanks to the generous contributions of partner sponsors—registration for the event with the global VMUG orgainzation is required.

Ben Clayton, presiding leader for the KC VMUG and VMUG Board of Directors member, said: “You can’t find a more vibrant, enthusiastic user community than the VMware User Group. I think we’ll impress Mr. Wozniak as much as he impresses us.”

The weather in KC has finally turned, and autumn greets the return of our leaders & members that ventured to San Francisco for the annual virtualization love-fest known as VMworld.
